“Today, we celebrate the 71st anniversary of victory over Fascism and I would like to congratulate all the veterans, their families and whole Georgia. Georgia contributed the greatest sacrifice – more than 300 000 Georgians died in the war and their merit shall be due estimated. We think that they fought for freedom of our country and their devotion is invaluable for us”.
According to the Chair of Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili, Fascims shall never be repeated. “Today, we all celebrate victory over Fascism, which is the greatest crime against mankind. We commemorate people, our compatriots who fought against Fascism and analyze this greatest crime - Fascism. Naturally, we all do not want it to repeat again and we mean it gathering here”.
