The Vice Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri and the First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nino Goguadze left for USA to serve the official visit with official invitation by IRI.

The first meeting will be held with the IRI Eurasian Regional Director, Stephen B. Nix.

The Delegation will hold the meetings in the US Congress and the Department of State. The meetings will be held with the Congressmen – David Price, Peter Roskam and Scott Perry, as well as with the representatives of the Department of State.

The parties will discuss Georgia-USA relations, enhancement of institutional cooperation, role of USA in enhancement of security and defense capacity of Georgia and NATO integration.

Georgian MPs will introduce the ongoing reforms in Georgia and the new “peace-keeping” initiative. They will meet with the representatives of the Research Institutions “Heritage” and “Rumsfeld”.

The meetings will be held with the Rumsfeld CEO, Sarah Conant Tonucci, leading expert of Heritage Foundation, Luke Coffey, Hudson Institute expert, Dr. Weitz, NED expert, Head of Russia and Eurasia Directorate, Miriam Lanskoy.

N. Goguadze will participate in NDI-organized Madeleine Albright Conference “Stop Violence Against Women in Politics” and will deliver the speech.
