MPs at the joint sitting of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Agrarian Issues Committee, and Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee approved the draft State Budget 2021.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Finance, Giorgi Kakauridze, the change is related to healthcare costs.
"As for the modifications, tax revenues in the state budget part increase by 300 million GEL, and the entire part of the consolidated budget, including municipalities, grows by 349 million GEL”, - Giorgi Kakauridze said.
According to him, the rate of borrowing is also changing, in particular, the amount of borrowing is reduced by 133.9 million GEL at the expense of issuing domestic securities, while the cost of investment loans is increased by about 16 million GEL. As for the expenditure part, the allocations for the health sector will increase by 376 million GEL, of which 356 million GEL will be allocated directly for the pandemic, and 20 million GEL - for vaccination promotion measures. According to Giorgi Kakauridze, the funding of the Ministry of Defense will increase by 60 million GEL. Funding for the accumulative pension program will increase by 16 million GEL.
