Ana Buchukuri was elected as the Deputy Chairperson of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee.

The candidacy of A. Buchukuri was submitted to the Committee by the faction-independent MPs.

Eka Kherkheulidze, the nominated candidate of the United National Movement faction, refused the position.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze, A. Buchukuri has a splendid experience in the field of human rights during her work in the government administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice.
