
MP Beka Natsvlishvili held the briefing to discuss his initiative, draft organic law on Labor Code aiming at regulation of over-time and night hours, imposition of the duty on the employer to count the business hours and definition of juvenile labor and break durations.
The bill aims, on the basis of the changes in labor time duration and breaks, to ensure due fulfillment of the commitment assumed in terms of protection of the employees.
“The employment is the place where most of us spend more than half of our lives and hence, these regulations are important as they will serve as the basis for regulation of employer-employee relations”, - he noted.
The bill was developed in cooperation with almost all field specialists at maximal extent reflecting their wills, needs and specifications.
Currently, the conclusion of the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection provides the only remark and thus, B. Natvlishvili hopes that the bill will be approved by the Parliament.
