On 26 November, Nino Burjanadze, the Acting President of Georgia, met Jonathan Dunn, head of the International Monetary Fund Mission in Georgia.

After the meeting Jonathan Dunn made a comment to journalists and noted that their talk concerned the situation unfolding in Georgia today, namely, the economic situation. The parties discussed the necessity of continuation of assistance programs of International Monetary Fund to Georgia. the head of the Mission did not specify on the details of the talk to journalists, though he noted that the Fund is ready to cooperate both with the interim and the future administration. " The fund is impatiently looking forward to this cooperation. We will spare no efforts to offer help to your country”-declared the head of the Mission.
