The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee discussing the International Agreements

The Committee discussed the international agreements of Georgia. The agreement concluded through the exchange of notes on Technical Cooperation between Georgia and Germany, based on the governmental negotiations and consultations between the two countries, envisages the allocation of 2 ml 100 000 EURO to Georgia in two components – one is the study (300 000 EURO) and another is the development of the concept on urban development in the regions of Georgia (1 ml 800 000 EURO).


The document selects the cities and identifies the individual needs; the validity of the Agreement is February 2023-January, 2025.


The Committee discussed the Agreement on Air Traffic between Georgia and Turkmenistan introduced by the Deputy Economic Minister, Mariam Kvrivishvili. The Agreement envisages the commercial agreements between the air forwarders, including the use of a shared code, which means the shared use of one flight by two or more air companies, where one forwarder is a marketing forwarder and another – operator.


The Agreement regulates issues, such are flight security and aviation security; similar agreements have been already concluded with other partner states. “New Agreement facilitates the air transit between Georgia and Turkmenistan, improved services and free competition and tourism development”, - she stated.
