David Songulashvili: a new Draft Law on Tourism is purposed to adequately regulate the legal base on tourist activity

The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee discussed for the I reading the Draft Law on Tourism, introduced by the Chair, David Songulashvili; according to him, the current Law on Tourism and Resorts is out of date and fails to meet modern requirements, since it was adopted in 1997.


“The new Draft Law on Tourism is purposed to adequately regulate the legal base on touristic activity, ensure effective protection of rights of tourists, improve the travel services and offer unique new services”, - he stated.


The Draft facilitates the maximal application of the touristic potential of the country to achieve significant progress in economic, cultural and employment terms.


The sitting was attended by travel associations and organizations.
