During the meeting of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Resan Kontselidze was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

His candidacy received unanimous support from the committee members. He was the sole candidate nominated for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee under the parliamentary majority quota.
