The Chair of the Culture Committee, Eliso Bolkvadze opened Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival with her welcome speech.

“It is the ninth opening of Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival – the event under the UNESCO patronage, which is an extremely important message. Batumi is enrolled in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, which means that the protection of cultural values is of utmost importance to us. We have invited very good and famous artists from various cities and let me assure you that we have 9 interesting days ahead”, - she stated.

Prior to the opening ceremony, E. Bolkvadze accompanied by the Vice-Speaker, Archil Talakvadze met with the Chair of the Ajara AR Government, Tornike Rizhvadze and discussed the organizational issues of the Festival. The Festival hosted by Batumi State Musical Center will last until July 31.
