Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee Endorsed the 2025 State Budget Execution Report

The Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee reviewed the Annual Report on the Execution of Georgia’s 2025 State Budget, presented by Giorgi Kakauridze, First Deputy Finance Minister.


The presenter discussed budget execution rates across spending agencies, noting that performance indicators were generally consistent among institutions.


According to the First Deputy Minister, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia utilized more than GEL 1.063 billion in 2025, achieving an execution rate of 99.9%.


The execution rates by sector were as follows:

  • Biodiversity Protection – 100%
  • Environmental Supervision – 99.3%
  • Development and Management of the Protected Areas System – 98%
  • Forestry System – 102.5%
  • Wildlife Protection and Management – 99.4%
  • Environmental Forecasting and Prevention – 98.6%
  • Biological and Radiation Safety – 93.7%
  • Solid Waste Management – 95%.


The Committee also heard information submitted by the Government of Georgia on the main macroeconomic forecasts and the key priorities of Georgia’s ministries.
Following the discussion, the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee took note of and endorsed the reports presented.
