Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee Deliberating on Draft Law on Fees for the Use of Natural Resources in II Reading

In the second reading, the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee reviewed the draft law concerning amendments to the Law on Fees for the Use of Natural Resources.

During the session, Member of Parliament Anton Obolashvili explained that the presented draft includes an amendment to Article 5 of the Law, which updates the rate of the natural resources fee for the extraction of 1 cubic meter of sand-gravel to 60 Tetri, as opposed to the previous rate of 20 Tetri.

The proposed amendment is expected to take effect on January 1, 2024. The Committee expressed its support for the presented document, which is scheduled for consideration at the plenary session today.
