The Chair of the Agriculture Committee, Gela Samkharauli, met with the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, István Jakab.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed prospects for deepening cooperation. Particular attention was paid to sharing Hungary’s experience in the field of agriculture, including livestock farming and grain production.
“Sharing Hungary’s experience is important. We agreed that our Hungarian colleagues will share their expert knowledge in the legislative field so that we can align ourselves as closely as possible with EU legislation. A significant part of the obligations arising from the Free Trade and Association Agreement relates to agriculture and environmental protection. Therefore, expert engagement and the sharing of advice from European countries are particularly important in this regard,” - the Chair of the Agriculture Committee noted.

“It is encouraging that we will have the opportunity to retrain around 80 students. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, we have compiled a list of in-demand professions and are working to further develop professions that are priorities for our country, supporting young people in obtaining high-quality education. Accordingly, we will actively cooperate with Hungarian higher education institutions,” - Gela Samkharauli stated.
