A regular working meeting was held by a working group established inside the Standing Parliamentary Council for Open Government, chaired by Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Education and Science Committee, to enhance citizens' awareness of the new legislation.
In order to fulfill the mentioned commitment of the Open Parliament Action Plan for 2021-2022, two versions of the information sheet on the law adopted in the Parliament were presented at the meeting. The leaflet is intended for the general public and will reflect the essence, purpose, and basic provisions of the law.
After the discussion, the working group agreed that after consulting the relevant committees, a single format of the information sheet would be agreed upon. After that, the staff of the five parliamentary committees: Agrarian Issues, Human Rights and Civil Integration, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Education and Science, and Health and Social Issues, with the involvement of the Public Relations and Information Department, will prepare information sheet on the adopted law.
The committees themselves will decide on which law to prepare the information sheet.
The initiators of the issue are the Education and Science Committee and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
