The Chair of the Education and Science Committee, Giorgi Amilakhvari and the Committee member, Khatua Kvitsiani held a meeting with the American students participating in the US State Department  Program.

G. Amilakhvari introduced the challenges in the education and science sphere in Georgia, informed the students about the reforms upheld and scheduled by the Committee and answered their questions concerning the political processes in the region and the EU integration prospects of Georgia.

“Within the American Council program, we met with the American students studying in various universities throughout the USA and now visiting Georgia. We overviewed the political developments, as well as the challenges in the education and science sphere, reforms and the contribution of the USA to the human capital development in Georgia. We strive to provide the American future lawyers, diplomats and politicians that we met today with accurate information about the developments in Georgia”, - G. Amilakhvari stated.

The students had a tour in the Parliamentary Palace and got cognizant of the history of the building.
