
Giorgi Amilakhvari, Chairman of the Education and Science Committee, Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chair of the Committee, and Khatuna Kvitsiani, Member of the Culture Committee met with Jiří Drahoš, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic to share their experiences related to the reforms and talk about the prospects of deepening cooperation.
"In terms of increasing cooperation in all directions and, most importantly, sharing reform experience, we had an engaging and relevant discussion. We've devised actual plans to assist one another in transitioning science, higher education, and vocational education to a more intensive reform process", - Giorgi Amilakhvari said.
According to Tamar Taliashvili, the meeting was very productive and revealed important prospects for Georgia.
"As of July 2022, the Czech Republic will serve as President of the European Union, which will be a huge boost for our country on the path to European integration, as education, science, and innovation will be a major focus of the Czech presidency”, - Tamar Taliashvili remarked.
According to Khatuna Kvitsiani, close cooperation in the field of culture was planned at the meeting.
"We talked about art reform and discussed the existing challenges. They shared their experience in this area. We also plan to cooperate in the field of culture”, - Khatuna Kvitsiani remarked.
