
First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Giorgi Chakvetadze, held a meeting with students and academic staff of the Aleksanteri Institute at the University of Helsinki.
The discussion focused on ongoing political processes in Georgia, reforms, and both implemented and planned developments in the field of education.
According to Mr. Chakvetadze, particular emphasis was placed on reforms in the general and higher education systems.
He also noted that the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee is ready to provide additional information, if necessary, to support relevant research by students of the University of Helsinki.
The students and representatives of the academic staff were on a five-day visit to Georgia, during which they held meetings with various state institutions.
The Aleksanteri Institute of the University of Helsinki is a research center actively engaged in academic and analytical activities, including international research projects and educational programs.
