
The First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Giorgi Khelashvili held a meeting with the students of the Defense Academy of the UK.
“The students of the Royal College are the high-rank military men from various countries, interested in the strategic relations in their own countries and work on these strategic issues in military and political directions. Their visit to Georgia manifested their personal choice and interest, as well as of the Academy. At the meeting, we discussed the security issues in the region, the foreign and security policy of Georgia, and the historical development of our country. The guests asked about our relations with various countries, and the domestic development in social, political and economic directions since these officers are interested in further relations of their countries with Georgia”, - G. Khelashvili stated.
The meeting was interactive, where the Georgian MP answered questions mostly concerning the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.
The meeting was attended by the British Ambassador, H.E. Mark Clayton.
