Meeting of Givi Mikanadze with the Members of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan and the Forum of Women

The Chair of the Permanent Parliamentary Open Governance Council, Givi Mikanadze held a meeting with the Members of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan and the Forum of Women.


Mr. Mikanadze introduced the credentials, activity and composition of the Council.


“The Council aims at facilitation of the openness, transparency and accountability of the Parliament and the maximal civic engagement in its activity”, - he noted dwelling on the Open Parliament Strategy and Action Plan, the cooperation with the international and legal non-commercial legal entities cooperating with the Council within OGP, oversight authority of the Council on the fulfillment of the Action Plan of the Government developed within the OGP and the activity in open governance sphere, as well as the civic engagement in the Parliamentary activity and the offsite meetings of the Council in the regions of Georgia.


Georgian MPs answered the questions of the Delegation members of Kyrgyzstan.


The meeting was attended by Council members Maia Bitadze, Eka Sepashvili, Nino Iobashvili and Teona Akubardia.
