Irakli Beraia, Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, together with the members of the Committee met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Aleš Chmelař to discuss the relations between the two countries, directions of inter-parliamentary cooperation and future plans.
The parties reiterated the Czech Republic's support for both Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the country's foreign policy priorities regarding its integration into the European Union and the Euro-Atlantic Alliance.
"The Czech Republic is a very important partner of Georgia, which strongly supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, our country's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. At the meeting, we talked with the Deputy Foreign Minister about friendly and partnership relations between the two countries. We also touched upon the security challenges in the region and the directions of parliamentary cooperation, and noted the importance of bilateral visits”, - Irakli Beraia remarked.
Vladimer Chachibaia, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, and Eka Sepashvili, Member of the Committee, also attended the meeting with the Czech diplomat.
