
The Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Beraia, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Giorgi Khelashvili, met with a member of the British Parliament, Richard Graham to discuss the security challenges in the region.
The parties focused on cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and security, as well as the need to further deepen and strengthen the existing relations.
"We talked with the British colleague about the regional security environment, threats, and challenges that Georgia encounters, Russia's large-scale military aggression, and the war against Ukraine. The conversation touched on the strengthening of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, especially the defense and security committees. We had a very interesting and comprehensive conversation on various issues related to national defense, security, as well as various elements of the security of the Black Sea in general", - Irakli Beraia commented after the meeting.
