The Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili held a meeting with the Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis,  and introduced the reforms undertaken in view of the sports and youth facilitation since Mr. Aliyev is the Chair of the Sports and Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Azerbaijan.

As I. Medzmariashvili noted, sports and youth issues are set out as the key priorities of the Committee. He overviewed the recently adopted legal changes and dwelt on the youth policy concept. He also introduced the amendments introduced to the Defense Code establishing certain preferences in the military service for the perspective and professional athletes.

The parties underlined the importance of partnership and friendly relations and outlined further plans.

In view to further enhance the parliamentary links, the parties discussed the opportunities for exchange visits and joint projects.
