The Chairman of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili, met with young people representing ethnic minorities from different parts of Georgia within the framework of the joint project Participatory Politics and Engaging National Minorities of the Rondeli Foundation and the OSCE.

Irakli Medzmariashvili addressed the youth to the details and primary focuses of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee's activities during the meeting.

The Chairman of the Committee indicated his willingness to support all programs aimed at promoting youth representation of national minorities and their participation in national affairs.

The young people at the meeting discussed the difficulties that members of national minorities who live in cities or rural areas experience in assimilating into society.

Irakli Medzmariashvili asserts that numerous interesting initiatives will be vigorously pursued with young people from ethnic minorities under the Committee's framework.
