The Vice Speaker, the Patriots MP Irma Inashvili held the briefing and introduced the position of the Faction and the open questions.
Investigation shall be commenced on the provocation related to Gavrilov as it was the provocation entailing the further processes. After these developments, Georgian Dream shall resign. “Currently, the Parliament discusses the immunity of Nika Melia. We consider that the in-depth investigation shall be held firstly on the provocation related to Gavrilov. We openly state that it was the provocation planned jointly by Georgian Dream and Bokeria’s party. This provocation entailed the unrest in front of the Parliament. Thus, it would be fair to start discussing the immunity from Bokeria as he is the main organizer of the provocation along with Georgian Dream. However, at this very moment, Georgian Dream discusses the immunity of Nika Melia solely, which is unfair as it shall also include Bokeria. Thus, Georgian Dream tries to rescue its key ally and real satellite – Bokeria. Now, let me introduce the open questions of the society around the provocation related to Gavrilov:
- For 2 months, the Government has been intensively appealing to Russian MP Gavrilov to arrive to Georgia! Now, what was the real objective of this appeal?
- The Government was inviting Gavrilov to Georgia together with his family as Gavrilov hails from Georgia – his maternal grandfather with the last name Lomtadze originates from Tbilisi. His mother is Georgian. The Government promised the highest security to Gavrilov which it failed to ensure. Now, what is this game about?
- Gavrilov, on the first day of the Assembly, was welcomed with solemn ceremonies, dances and Georgian feast. Why? He was invited to the Ceremonial Palace with not a single discomfort to anyone. Ceremonial Palace is as well an official state institution.
- The second day, Gavrilov was invited to the Parliament and allowed to sit in the Speaker’s Chair which is even banned for me, the Vice Speaker without the Bureau decision. Who allowed this seat to Gavrilov?
- Why the Assembly was scheduled to be held in the Parliamentary plenary hall?
- How the Bokeria’s party appeared in the hall in 2 minutes with the preliminary printed posters? Were they informed about this fact? How they managed to print the posters in 1 minute which usually takes 1 day?
- Who provided the false information to media about alleged participation of Gavrilov in Abkhazia war and his alleged violation of the visa conditions? Why SAS has rejected this information after 8 hours when the processes at the Parliament have already aggravated? What was they were waiting for?
- How the activists appeared at the Parliament in 15 minutes (after Gavrilov was led out) with the preliminarily printed posters?
- Why Gavrilov left Radisson Hotel from the front and not the back door which was also occupied by the activists with the posters? Why the Government allowed it and why the police allowed the physical insult to Gavrilov by the activists?
- It was a planned provocation planned and enforced by Georgian Dream and Bokeria’s party. Saakashvili’s party also was engaged I this process and upset their plans. The processes went beyond their control. Bokeria opposed Saakashvili’s party stating that they are against violence.
- I ask these questions in front of media and the society as it was a preliminarily planned show – provocation and the post processes damaged and injured our youth!
We require the investigation to start with this provocation. As to the political assessment – Georgian Dream shall resign after these developments”, - she noted.
