
The Speaker, Kakha Kutchava held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs to discuss the partnership relations and the years of friendship between the countries, as well as the prospects of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats in political and economic directions.
The parties touched upon the NATO Open Door Policy and the necessity of accession to NATO for security in the region.
The application to be made by Georgia for the EU membership in 2024 was particularly underlined.
According to the Speaker, the support and experience of Latvia in this regard are important.
He thanked the guest for the intact support of the EU and NATO aspirations and the territorial integrity of Georgia.
