First Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee Khatia Tsilosani took part in a clean-up action near the Tbilisi Sea organized by the Swedish Development Agency and the NGO Georgian Green Movement / Friends of the Earth, where volunteers cleaned the environment of plastic and other types of waste.
"Clean up the world - Clean up Georgia" is a three-day cleaning marathon that will take place throughout Georgia's municipalities and regions. The action's goal is to eliminate natural trash and clean up regions from plastic and other difficult-to-dispose-of rubbish. By participating in the campaign, we hope to encourage our countrymen to be environmentally conscious and clean up after themselves”, - Kh. Tsilosani commented.
Solomon Pavliashvili, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture, also took part in the clean-up effort.
