At today's sitting, the Culture Committee elected Rostom Chkheidze, a candidate nominated by the faction "National Movement - United Opposition - Power is in Unity", as Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

"Culture unites us, and right now, when there is such tension and polarization in the country, cultural policy is of great importance. We are all people who think in the interests of the country, who understand what culture is, what it means to unite. Therefore, of course, we welcome Mr. Rostom Chkheidze to join our committee”, - the Chair of the Committee, Eliso Bolkvadze stated.

The Committee unanimously approved R. Chkheidze's candidacy.
