A working meeting was held at the Environment Protection and Natural Resources Committee on the elaboration of the draft law on Granting the Status of “Green Lines” to Green Zones.
The Bill envisages defining, protecting and preserving the status of green areas of cities - gardens, parks, squares and forests.
Pursuant to specialists, there are frequent cases of alienation of land plots and construction permits, which significantly affects the volume of green areas in cities.
It is precisely the elimination of this practice that the legislative document has been created and then discussed by environmentalists, as well as representatives of the construction and architectural sectors, with active participation of the permission-giving structures. Experts from various state structures, NGOs and international organizations participated in the working group.
Following elaboration and amendments, the Committee will submit the bill.
