The Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili and the Head of the NLO Georgia, Rosaria Puglisi met to discuss current and contingent cooperation prospects between the Committee and the Office.

The Parties underlined the intensive cooperation between the two entities with regards to the security and NATO-Georgia relations. The legislative changes and the initiatives that are currently elaborated on in the parliament were also noted at the meeting.

I. Sesiashvili informed the guest about the Bill on Information Security and emphasized the aims and aspirations of the draft law.

Harping on the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the parties focused on the Session of NATO-Georgia Parliamentary Commission scheduled in Kiev, where issues correlated to strengthening the country’s defense capacity and security will be tabled.

The meeting was also attended by the Political and Military Officers of the NATO Liaison Office.
