The Bio-Economic Society “Elkana” handed the inventory and two mini-vans to the cooperatives “Dzelukhi” and “Bumerang777 in Vani. “Dzelukhi” was financed with 36 000 GEL and “Bumerang777” with 42 000 GEL.

The event was attended by Agrarian Issues Committee member, D. Lortkipanidze. The meeting was attended by the leadership of Vani Municipality and the Head of Advisory Service of Vani Municipality at the Ministry of Agriculture, I. Sanadiradze.

The farmers were rendered aid within the project implemented by the Swiss NGO, HEKS/EPER, Swiss companies “Swiss Credit” and “Anka Fair Trade” in association with “Elkana”. The project aims at financial aid for petty farmers, fair trade and bio-nut production value network creation.

There are 25 cooperatives in Vani out of 1121 in the country, including 1 (“Tafli Sachino”) of the second level. All in all, there are 6 cooperatives with the grants won in Vani.
