The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, H.E. Meline Arakelian and deliberated on the Georgia-Netherlands parliamentary cooperation prospects.

The parties discussed the European aspirations of Georgia, respective steps taken in this direction and the expectations.

The Ambassador informed N. Samkharadze about the internal political situation in the Netherlands and the scheduled elections. The parties overviewed the regional security milieu, the Russian aggression in Ukraine and its repercussions, Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and the peace-building role of Georgia in the conflict resolution.

N. Samkharadze informed the Dutch diplomat about the situation in the occupied regions and the importance of the non-recognition policy.
