Meeting of Nino Tsilosani with Representatives of UN Food and Agriculture Organization in Georgia

Nino Tsilosani, Chairperson of the Agrarian Issues Committee, met with Raimund Jehle, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Georgia.

According to Nino Tsilosani, the FAO is actively cooperating with our country, including both the executive and the legislature, and this meeting was a confirmation of that.

The sides discussed all the issues they are working on together and which are of great importance for the development and future of Georgia's agriculture.

"The meeting was both productive and fascinating. We discussed all of the topics we're working on with FAO, whether it's the legislative framework for food donation or the law on farmers, or the subject of upgrading or updating the cooperative law. We concentrated on future collaboration concerns, such as FAO technical or expert help, which will benefit both the agricultural industry and the Committee's activities. It's worth noting that the FAO works closely with the relevant ministry and aids us in enforcing the laws that have been passed”, - Nino Tsilosani said after the meeting.

The parties agreed on future cooperation.
