Parliamentary Briefing Hall was Named after Maro Makashvili

The 410th room of the Parliament's B building was named after Maro Makashvili on the initiative of Nino Tsilosani, Chair of the Permanent Parliamentary Council for Gender Equality.

"Briefing Room" is named after the national hero of Georgia from today.

“Naming Maro Makashvili for one of the halls of the Parliament once again underscores the importance of women in Georgia's history and in gaining the country's independence. Many thanks to everyone who supported the issue, especially those from the opposition”, - Nino Tsilosani said.

The First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Giorgi Volski, described the national hero Maro Makashvili as a worthy woman in our history at an important stage for the country.

The Bureau supplemented the Plenary Agenda with sundry issues.

The members of the Bureau approved the quotas set for the various councils and commissions in the conclusions of the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee.
