
The Parliament discussed with the III reading and adopted with 83 votes the Bill on General Education allowing the children turning 6 as of October 1 to primary schools.
According to Giorgi Amilakhvari, expedited consideration is conditioned with the upcoming children's registration term. Prior to consideration, the Chair of the Education and Science Committee, G. Amilakhvari congratulated the Georgian population on Mother Language Day.
“It is one of the most important parts of our national identity. I congratulate you on Mother Language Day”, - he stated.
The Bill was initiated by G. Amilakhvari, Tamar Taliashvili, Khatuna Kvitsiani, Maia Menagarishvili, Vladimir Kakhadze, Beka Davituliani, Rostom Chkheidze and Ramina Beradze.
