
As part of their official visit to the USA, the delegation of the Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, led by Chairman Nikoloz Samkharadze, met with Damon Wilson, President of the US National Endowment for Democracy, and Kenneth Wollack, Chairman of the National Endowment for Democracy.
During the meeting, discussions encompassed security challenges in the Caucasus region, Russia's occupation of Georgian territories, US-Georgia relations, the 2024 parliamentary elections in Georgia and the pre-election environment, and the draft law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
Particular attention was given to Georgia's integration process into the European Union and the importance of commencing negotiations with the EU.
The delegation from the Parliament of Georgia's Foreign Relations Committee comprises Chairman Nikoloz Samkharadze, Deputy Chairman Davit Zilfimiani, and committee member Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
