The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili met with Sven Mikser, European Parliament’s Rapporteur on Georgia.

Shalva Papuashvili thanked Sven Mikser for supporting Georgia's European perspective and the efforts in drafting a report on the implementation of the Association Agreement.

Shalva Papuashvili stressed the important role of the Parliament in the process of preparing for the 2024 application for EU membership. He also expanded on the reforms implemented and planned by Georgia within the framework of the Association Agreement, cooperation between Georgia and the EU in the fields of education, security and other areas.

The parties also discussed parliamentary life and current developments in the country.

Sven Mikser reiterated the European Parliament 's strong support for Georgia' s territorial integrity and European aspirations.
