Parliament Supported Amendment to the Credit Facility Framework Agreement Between the French Development Agency and Georgia
The Parliament of Georgia considered Amendment No. 1 to the Framework Credit Facility Agreement of 15 November 2022 between the French Development Agency (Lender) and Georgia (Borrower), which provides for a nine-month extension of the agreement’s implementation period.

The matter was presented to Parliament by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze.

To finance the Human Capital Development Programme, the French Development Agency allocated €100 million in financial resources to Georgia.

As explained by Giorgi Kakauridze, the first tranche of €50 million was disbursed in 2023. The utilization period for the remaining €50 million expired on 15 November 2025.

Consequently, the agreement is being amended to extend the deadline for the utilization of the remaining funds until 15 August 2026.
