Parliament Adopted the draft Air Code at III Reading
The Parliament of Georgia unanimously adopted, at III reading, the draft Air Code with 80 votes in favor, along with the related package of draft laws: on Amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of Georgia; n Amendments to the Law of Georgia on Enforcement Proceedings; on Amendments to the Law of Georgia on State Fees; and on Amendments to the Law of Georgia on Rehabilitation and the Collective Satisfaction of Creditors.

The legislative package was prepared with the aim of Georgia’s accession to the Cape Town Convention.

According to the draft law, the Air Code of Georgia will be supplemented with and provide definitions for the following terms: Cape Town Convention; Aviation Object; and IDERA.

In addition, the Code will be supplemented with provisions regulating matters related to: registration in the international registry concerning aviation objects; and deregistration of aviation objects from the State Register of Civil Aircraft of Georgia.
