
The Parliament deliberated the ratification documents that were introduced to the Plenary Session by the First Deputy Minister of Finance, Giorgi Kakauridze.
The Loan Agreement between Georgia and EBRD (Green Investments in Buildings), which provides for 40M EURO for Georgia for a period of 15 years, was approved by 81 votes.
The project will also be funded by the KfW Development Bank, an EU grant, and co-financed by Georgia. The project aims to upgrade/construct, reconstruct and rehabilitate the energy efficiency of public-school buildings.
MPs endorsed the draft resolution on the Letter-Agreement of the Change N2 to the Loan Agreement (Georgia Urban Reconstruction and Development) between Georgia and EIB, envisaging the allocation of 100M EURO for Georgia. This money was used to fund small infrastructure projects throughout Georgia, including road restoration, water supply, sewerage system development, tourist infrastructure development, and the cleanup of the Tbilisi disaster. At this point, 80M EURO has been deducted from the overall amount.
On March 31, 2022, the agreement on Change N2 to the Loan Agreement was signed, which deals with the extension of the loan write-off deadline until June 30, 2022, and the amendment of Annex B to the financial agreement, which deals with the definitions of LIBOR and EURIBOR. The Loan Agreement between Georgia and EBRD (Green Investments in Buildings) provides for 40M EURO for Georgia for a period of 15 years.
The Loan Agreement between Georgia and IBRD (Kakheti Connectivity Improvement Project) provides for a loan of 97.7M EURO to Georgia for a period of 27.5 years, aiming at the construction of the Sagarejo-Badiauri 17 km four-lane road.
The document was endorsed by 80 votes.
The Loan Agreement between Georgia and IBRD (Georgia Human Capital Program) provides for a 358.5M EURO loan to Georgia for a period of 27.5 years, which aims to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Georgia with fair and equal access to high-quality education, better targeted social benefits, and strong preventive healthcare with the lowered cost of treatments and medications.
