
The Parliamentary Order delegated to the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly of the First Republic, Nikoloz (Karlo) Chkheidze, was exposed at the Ekvtime Takaishvili Museum of Georgian Parliamentarism.
As per the decision made by the descendants of Karlo Chkheidze, the Parliamentary Order of Liberty awarded to the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly of the First Republic, was delivered to the Parliament of Georgia.
Conformably with the Order of the Speaker of the Parliament of May 25, 2023, the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly of the First Republic, Nikoloz (Karlo) Chkheidze, his First Deputy, Alexander Lomtatidze, and the Deputy Chairmen, Ekvtime Takaishvili and Svimon Mdivani, were conferred the Parliamentary Order of Liberty posthumously for their exceptional contributions to the advancement of parliamentarism.
Nikoloz Chkheidze, also known as Karlo, presided over the inaugural session of Georgia’s first legislative body, the Constituent Assembly. During this tenure, the assembly successfully adopted the inaugural Constitution of Georgia in 1921.
