The members of the political group, Girchi met with representatives of the OSCE Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The MPs informed the guests about the draft amendments to the Election Code prepared by the opposition and emphasized the importance of implementing the recommendations of the OSCE/ODIHR and the European Union. Particular attention was paid to funding for political parties, including minor political parties, and the smooth functioning of the election system.

"We discussed the current electoral system in Georgia, the reforms that ought to be made in light of the 12-point recommendations, as well as the issues that our party and perspective are facing. We paid particular attention to how challenging it is for tiny parties to get individual donations from supporters. The meeting was interesting and productive. We agreed to continue cooperation and we hope that when they come to the government of Georgia with new recommendations, the interest of small parties will be taken into account more”, - Herman Sabo commented.
