MP Rati Ionatamishvili held a meeting with the representatives of the Georgian Council of Blind to discuss a new initiative, aiming at the simplification of the notary services for the blind and visually impaired.
As R. Ionatamishvili stated, the initiative is to ensure equal opportunities and civic engagement in the decision-making process.
“We actively work on the Bill purposed to create the legal guarantees for the blind and visually impaired persons to, without artificial impediments, independently strike any deal. There were issues related to the Bill that we strived to approximate our positions on, for instance, a record in paragraph 12, providing the civic engagement in the decision-making process. Today, by cooperating with the Council of Blind, we created a good example of collaboration”, - R. Ionatamishvili stated.
