The Committee discussed the Report for 2021 by the Public Broadcaster, introduced by the Chair of the Board of Trustee, Vasil Maglaperidze.

According to him, the document provides detailed information on the activity and all the programs. In 2021, the PD maintained a balance between 3 main categories imposed under the law – news; culture, education, cognition; healthy lifestyle and products for the children. 70% of the air in 2021 was dedicated to the original Georgian products, where the entertaining programs constituted 17%, sports – 16%, youth – 7%, public and political – 9%, news – 9%, and education and culture – 32%.

He introduced the budget and expenditures and stated that up to 30 documentary and fiction works have been already created. The reporter overviewed the programs and stressed the importance of technical re-equipment and the construction of a new premise.

“Deriving from high interest to the Public Broadcaster, I hope the leading Committee will hold a wide consideration. We approve the report providing the remarks our Committee expressed deriving from our profile”, - the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze stated.

Pursuant to the Rules of Procedure, the Committee conclusion with the remarks will be submitted to the Bureau.
