Within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session, held in Dayton, Ohio, USA, the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, led by Givi Mikanadze, held a bilateral meeting with the Italian parliamentary delegation.

During the meeting, the Italian side reaffirmed its strong support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the country’s Euro-Atlantic and European integration.

In response to the interest expressed by the Italian delegation, the sides discussed ongoing political and economic developments in Georgia, the continued occupation process by the Russian Federation, Georgia’s path toward EU membership, and Georgia's perspective on the current geopolitical transformations.

The Georgian delegation reiterated its readiness to continue constructive and productive cooperation within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Georgian delegation to the NATO PA: Chair of the European Integration Committee Levan Makhashvili and First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Mariam Lashkhi.
