Georgian Parliamentary Delegation Meets with Turkish Parliamentary Delegation

In Dayton, Ohio, where the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's 2025 Spring Session is taking place from 22 to 26 May, the Standing Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, led by Givi Mikanadze, held an official meeting with the Turkish parliamentary delegation headed by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of security challenges in the Black Sea region. Special emphasis was placed on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey. Both sides underlined the need to further strengthen cooperation in bilateral and multilateral parliamentary formats in light of ongoing geopolitical developments.

According to Givi Mikanadze, the head of the Georgian delegation, bilateral cooperation is of critical importance for regional stability. He noted that such meetings further demonstrate the deepening of parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu reaffirmed Turkey’s strong support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The meeting was attended by members of Georgia’s delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, including Chair of the EU Integration Committee Levan Makhashvili and First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Mariam Lashkhi.
