
Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia participated in the Economic Security Committee sitting within the NATO PA; the sitting was dedicated to the deliberation on the Black Sea region security and economic challenges.
The Head of the Delegation, Givi Mikanadze, addressed the Committee members, underlining the progress achieved by Georgia in terms of peace, security and economic development. He accentuated the efforts by Georgia to adhere to the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia.
In his speech, he underscored the proper economic policy of the Georgian Government and the improved economic indices, which acquire even higher value taking the occupation of two regions of the country and the complicated security milieu in a wider region into account.
Mr. Mikanadze introduced sundry amendments concerning the significant role of Georgia in the Black Sea security domain and the fact-based assessments.
