The EU Integration Committee members participated in the Parliamentary Conference of the EU candidate states

The EU Integration Committee members, Lika Shartava and Eka Sepashvili, participated in the Conference of the European Integration Committees of the Parliaments of the Western Balkan Candidate States (COSAP), held on November 17-18, 2025, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Eka Sepashvili addressed the participants of the conference, emphasizing the security challenges facing Georgia, the country’s geopolitical importance in the context of the EU enlargement policy, and the need to maintain security and stability in the region. She also spoke about the importance of sharing experiences among candidate countries during the EU accession process.

Within the framework of the conference, participants discussed the achievements and existing challenges in the process of EU integration.


The discussion also touched on the EU enlargement policy, the impact of the geopolitical environment, and issues of regional cooperation.

The COSAP conference is a permanent parliamentary platform for cooperation on EU membership issues for Western Balkan countries.


Alongside the presiding country and its member states, parliamentary delegations from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Turkey were invited.
