
The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili, will serve as the leader of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, which will attend the 10th Ordinary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly in Chisinau, Moldova, from February 19–21.
The Assembly will have committee hearings as part of the session on February 19 where each committee will consider and adopt resolutions submitted within its purview.
It should be noted that Maia Bitadze, a member of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, contributed to the resolution written by the Committee on Energy Security (ENER) titled "Transition to Green Energy as a Response to the Energy Security Challenges in the Eastern European Partnership in the context of the Russian Aggressive War and Occupation”.
After the plenary session's scheduled official opening on February 20, there will be a discussion regarding the future of the Eastern Partnership strategy following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The new regional security context, challenges, and opportunities.
At the annual meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Maka Bochorishvili, Mikheil Sarjveladze, Maia Bitadze, Levan Karumidze, Giorgi Khelashvili, and Giorgi Vashadze will take part.
Four Standing Committees on Political Issues, Energy Security, Economic Integration, and Social Affairs make up the Parliamentary Assembly.
The Assembly encourages the growth of political links between the European Union and the nations of Eastern Europe as well as economic union within the EU.
