The Parliamentary Delegation participated in the EuroNest PA Committee sittings

The City of Yerevan hosts the EuroNest PA Committee sittings attended by the Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia headed by the Co-Chair of the EuroNest PA, Maka Botchorishvili.


The Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy, the Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies, the Committee on Energy Security, and the Committee on Social Affairs, Employment, Education, Culture and Civil Society discussed the regional security challenges and ongoing political and economic situation.


The Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy discussed the Draft Resolution “Facilitating the Governance in Public Institutions in view of the Enhancement of Efficiency and Administrative Capacity on the basis of the Political Dialogue and Institutional Cooperation”.  The Document underlines the importance of facilitation of good governance in public institutions of the EaP countries and the necessity of the EU support to the reforms.


The Energy Security Committee discussed the Draft Resolution “Energy Security Challenges and Sustainability in the EaP Countries in the Context of the Green Deal and Pure Energy”, co-authored by Georgian MP Maia Bitadze and the MEP Bronis Ropė.


The Draft was introduced by the Georgian MP Khatia Tsilosani on behalf of the co-author. The Draft underlines the importance of climate change, energy security and sustainability in the EaP countries in the Green Deal context and concerns the energy sector achievements and challenges in these countries.


The Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies discussed the Draft Resolution “Capitals: Economic Development in Post COVID-19 Reality”, overviewing the challenges in the EaP countries in the post-pandemic restoration process.


The Committee on Social Affairs, Employment, Education, Culture and Civil Society discussed the Draft Resolution “Compatibility and Approximation of Vaccination Programs in the EU and EaP Countries”, considering the achievements and challenges in the healthcare system of the EU and EaP countries and cooperation policy in the vaccination program sphere.


The Draft Resolutions will be approved at the EuroNest PA 10th plenary session.


The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia is composed of Maka Bochorishvili, Levan Karumidze, Khatia Tsilosani and Mariam Lashkhi.
