Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili met Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Türker Arı.
 
The Speaker emphasized the traditionally friendly strategic relationship between the two countries and particularly highlighted the close ties between the parliaments of Georgia and Türkiye at the level of parliamentary speakers, friendship groups, and committees.
 
The Turkish Ambassador reaffirmed Turkey’s respect for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed readiness to further develop and deepen bilateral relations.
 
The parties discussed current and future issues in Georgia– Turkey relations, as well as ongoing regional developments and the broader international situation.
 
The discussion also covered Georgia’s integration into the European Union and its relations with EU member states.
 
Particular attention was devoted to issues related to strengthening Georgia’s sovereignty and pursuing a foreign policy based on national interests.
 
The parties agreed to continue developing their close bilateral relations in the future.
 
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia wished Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı success in his responsible diplomatic mission.
